- I would argue that you don't _have_ to, even on the PC platform (I don't know
- of any games that _require_ SVGA, and games are still made that will run on the
- 286, but I'm no expert - this entire line of thought runs contrary to my nature
- as power-user-wannabe :-)
- (This is also why I find the Amiga games situation abhorrant - the reason doom
- clones arn't even close to doom on the Amiga is precisely because 5 year old
- machines are still popular - it's a viscious cycle - the longer you leave it,
- the harder it is to move forward :(
